Start Your First 15 Minutes

Your CGS site and The Woodshed community are really super! I am glad I finally joined in, and smacking myself for waiting so long.

Carol Morin

I love the play-along video practice as it makes practicing more fun and predictable. I don't have to think about what and how to practice...it's right there for me.

After more than a year as a member, I remain impressed with the Woodshed, song courses, Tuesday quotes, video lessons, and the CGS community. Without my membership, I think my enthusiasm for learning classical guitar would have faded long ago. Instead, I am enjoying the process as I make steady progress in my playing.

What is so delightful about your program, is #1. You REALLY do care, #2. you REPLY.  [This Program is] perfect for the home learner who either doesn’t have the time or the money for a personal guitar instructor. The lessons are so well done – so well planned.  I love the program, and most respectfully a big hug for being such a great mentor and ALWAYS available!

When you're ready, here's the rest of what's waiting for you.

Everything below can wait.
We'll talk about it all soon enough via email.
But if you want to look now, here you go.

What You Can Expect:

As with any new space, you can expect a settling-in period.  You will quickly learn your way around and get into a routine.  You may get lost once or twice.  If so, you can go back to the homepage and begin again, or email us and we'll help.

For our part, we'll try to make things as clear as possible.  You'll have instructions when you need them.  This may be a tour showing you around, or specific instructions using a list or video.

And as you dig into the Program Levels, you can expect to find challenging lessons to pull you forward.  You will probably find some things easy.  Other things will be more challenging.  That's all normal.  You can spend your time building up your weaker zones, instead of practicing what you can already do.

Here are Further Next Steps:

After watching the video above, here are your next steps. The links below will open in a new tab. You can then close that page and return here for the next step on the list.

  1. Log in. * (see below)
  2. Get playing, with the play-along First 15 Minutes video.
  3. Take a tour of the homepage.  (Click the gold button in the middle of the page to begin the tour.)
  4. Introduce yourself in the Member Community.
  5. Mark the recurring Member Events on your calendar. ** All events are optional and just for fun.  Replays of the Q&A's will be available if you can't make it.)
  6. Go to Level 1A of the program and start at the top.  Even if you're an advanced player, you'll find instructions there on how to proceed.

Keep us in the loop!

Remember, you have 30 days to settle in and see start seeing your playing improve.  If you don't love it, please email and ask for a refund.

We're 100% invested in you having a great time and seeing steady strides in your playing.

So if you have any questions, or if we can help with anything, please don't hesitate to reach out.

All the best in your music

Allen Mathews
